Made Whole

Not liking who I was

before I knew the Lord,

my thoughts were self-absorbed,

my heart empty.

True joy I didn't know,

my life was incomplete,

until His voice so sweet

called out to me.

All doubt became belief,

to Him I gave my sin.

He gave me life again

through forgiveness.

Now I can see,

Jesus in me.

A beautiful write and interpretation of the picture prompt. Heartfelt. Lovely expression of faith. I love creativeness of the Abhanga form and its ending couplet. Good flow, rhyme and tone. Lovely depth of feeling. Good word choice, nice alliteration and assonance. Word count: 60. Thank you for your entry.

great poem.this poem says all there is to say about the joy of having a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus. none of us are whole until we accept that nothing we do will be right without Him.your perception of this is evident in this poem.an awesome piece of poetry.something to go back and read again and again.

This is so true. In order to live we have to forgive. Not only does God forgive us so we can live but he expects us to forgive others so that we can live freely and to our fullest potential. No matter how hard or what has been done to us, we have to forgive. God demanded it. We should obey as the result is amazing. Excellent dear friend. This really hit home to me. I keep telling my clients to let go and forgive. But it's really really hard.
