Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house, not a creature was stirring... not even a mouse.
Children were sleeping snug in their beds, peaceful dreams occupying their innocent lil heads.
Parents were dozing after a long day of work, exhausted from the holidays, close to going berzerk.
When all of the sudden a CRASH was heard at the door!
Mother went running for her babies then suddenly, hot led knocked her to the floor.
Father was struggling and begging to PLEASE be set free.
The cops had daddy down on the ground... their faces glowing with glee.
In all the commotion and thunderous BANGS,
the little children awoke with great panic pangs.
Screaming for mommy who lay still on the floor. They saw poor daddy being drug out the door.
What happend next, I think we all know.
The cops were not sorry they had put on such a show!
Wrong address on the warrant gave 'em all a free pass.
Now a family is broken.
Christmas is over...At last.

wow, amazing write
most people don't know how alive and well police brutality is...i participated in a police conduct forum and subsequent forums and some of the things I have learned have made my blood boil...it is very much terrorism...while not all cops are bad, a town near me the police went to jail as they were the ones dealing the drugs and guns into the impoverished community...bravo poet on a powerful insightful moving write

Thank you.
Thank you for the Silver but mostly; Thank you for hosting this contest.
People need to wake up to the terrorism in America by the American government, not just the terrorism of groups we feel more comfortable blaming.
Terror is terror and injustice is still injustice, no matter where you live, your class, or religious belief.
God will see us through.
Sincerely,
A Terrorized American Mother & Wife -
Thank you, unfortunatley too many people understand the realism on this subject.
