Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

Melancholy melodies of many pleasing rhymes
Lost in mists of time and place
Enveloped in a thousand petty crimes

Dolefule duties, dreary days of ages long gone by
Lost in pages turned away
Encompassed in a thousand sunny skies

Gloomy gusts of garish ghouls within our bitter pasts
Lost in curtains draped before
Endured by a thousand sorrowed contrasts

Nostalgic needs of our numbed and naked souls
Losing ourselves in silent reverie
Enamoured to what we once detested

Now we say farewell to cruel words and hateful world
Return to home once more
Until the next time we say goodbye to the yellow brick road

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!

My sweet Sister...how your soul speaks to me this night. The depths of your pain and your wonder reaches me where I am. I feel the energy that is you...the magic of your poetic soul enchants me this dark hour. I am blessed by your words this solemn eve my dear.

    Blessed be~
