UnHarnessed Fury!

Thousands of waters miles away

Stirring winds lift up on the surface,

Swept in by north westerlies gusts,

The lull before the storm

Is gone!

Howling like wild cats,

No purring here....

Racing against time

Large white caps swirl

Tearing away as run away horses

Breakers  from the sea of Japan

Tossing fishing trawlers

In swirling churning waters

Along their courses

Tankers bobbing up and down

On heaving waves...

The wind screeching,

Haunting high pitched whistling

Moaning by day and night,

Ocean depths rising to surface

Only to find itself landing

On the rocky shores

Of a foreign land far, far away!

While ocean watchers stand

With umbrellas blown inside out

Trying to fathom the winter gale

Coming in from an oriental island!

Dumping twelve foot waves and spray

On shore  off the breakshore below!

Author notes

Prompt: Winter Gale..Having lived on by an ocean we have seen winter gales, slowing down traffic on the ocean....This is my description of many a wind that comes blowing from the western shores of as far away as the sea of Japan.
