A cry out for your chosen people

Oh, Lord I know what your word says, as tears are blood-stained,

reading every day the scriptures, I ask of you to end...

that all happening in the Middle-East is ordained.

How long Oh Lord is there despair, losses and hearts to mend,

our men are over there, people living there need a release,
I trust you Lord in all your ways, oh, Majesty may they have Peace.

Singing out those words..."let there be peace on Earth,

and let it begin with me..
.
Only you have the power to stop them fighting over turf.

Destruction, seize and capture is all they aim for,
Oh, Lord please I emplore you to stop this once more.

The Psalmist wrote that Peace Be Still and know,

yes I know Lord you are God...

an ache in my heart to heal this land and let love grow.

Your Son cried in the garden the blood stained tears,
The nations, your world, need a calm and nothing to fear.

I remember you gave a promise before to restore,

this is a cry, a plea to stop the insanity...

I know the day will come for you are God forevermore.

a deep heart felt prayer I like how you opened it up.

There are two things i am thinking when I read this. One is that the poem is written to close to a conflict. When something happens in our life and
are shocked hurt or watever the first draft is always too radical or too close to the situation and a poet must convey emotion, however the poet must control the tempo and be objective.
trying to get more perspective on it is important.
People have beeen killing each other for years,
Why, How come the war continues?
So while it is a prayer for peace and that is good
God knows all the answers, but we do not.
Good stuff and a poem you can tackle

A very interesting bit of work. These reads more as spoken word and less as poetry, but that doesn't mean anything to mean in regards to the quality of your work, just that I don't often read a composition such as this and think "spoken word."

Your longing for peace, especially for peace in the most war torn region in the history of mankind, is commendable. I've studied such conflicts and it is painful to see the grief and terrible rage that just sucks away life after life.

    Well done.

    Blessings,

    C

    Amen and amen!

As you say, all that is going on in the world was and remains preordained and it will stop when Christ comes in the clouds. Alas, the saddest thing about Israel is that it has yet to read the words of their own Torah: "the temple will never be rebuilt and as long as blood is shed upon the land, you will never have it all back: only when earth is made new will all be returned to you."

I join you, Denise, in this exquisite heartfelt prayer to our Lord. It reminds me of the saints crying out from beneath the altar, "When will you avenge us, Lord, when?" - Revelation - It is my cry, too, which tells us "Christ is even at the door." Soon, very soon.

This line does not flow well due to word choice and arrangement: "that all what is happening in the Middle-East is ordained." -- I would suggest: "that all happening in the Middle East is ordained."

    Another gold, sweet one! BonnieQ

    wonderful piece

I truly love this entry poet, the message about fighting over turf and the way we try to say God ordained one side or the other instead of honoring God in the way we treat each other..."I remember you gave a promise before to restore, this is a cry, a plea to stop the insanity...I know the day will come for you are God forevermore." terrific write.

I love how you talk to God as if he's a close friend. I find more honesty and inspiration in prayers that are this personal. Well done.

Blessings and thank you...after all Jesus is our friend, not many realize to just talk to Him...I try to allow it to be from the heart and spirit inspired.
