I stretch out
Her hand absent-mindedly
traces patterns
on my ankle
We sit
in companionable silence
letting the film
in front of us
go through its motions
I smile
Happy once again.
Walking
through the darkness
I squeal, taken by surprise
at her attempt to
frighten me
And we laugh.
Her fingers
link with mine
And hand in hand
We continue.
Later
we amuse ourselves
teasing the others...
And as we wait for them to return
I reach out
and wrap my arms around her
She returns the gesture.
And I smile
Happy
Once
Again
Author notes
I love you. You really are exactly like a sister...I could not live without you.
What did you think?

This so sweet and so beautifully written.
...and so much a "girl thing"...it is so wonderful to be in places and with people where you know you just belong. Such fun too.
You caught this really well with just a nice amount of detail.
( I love the way the words are arranged ... but I did wonder about each line being in capitals)
