that kids face was just as white as mine,
and our guns spat out hymns
--hung us up like confetti on rocks and cars
a bloody piece of abstract art

This is excellent imagery and metaphor. Thanks so much for entering my contest.

deliciously violent
O: "guns spat out hymns"
confetti on rocks and cars... is a brilliant image.

Brillantly written...I can see it with many meanings as well...and the harsh one is the sad reality of the break down of society and how it all ends...no winners in this game...
excellent work...

DAYUM. What a great first entry, a good omen for this contest as the last couple have flopped. I can pull several meaning out of this from the sickening carnage of "civil"ization to odd analogies for dying passion and lovers spats. It stands alone or leaves room for adding on. Thank you for creating and sharing this. Write on!
