I was trotting on the new fallen snow
The moonlight glistening at my feet
I was here just a few moments ago
I knew my travel would soon be complete
I looked at the moon which was ever so bright
I made my way through the soft powder snow
In the distance i saw a green light
I saw my Christmas tree in the window
I rushed out to my green door
They let me in as i was as cold as a frozen ice
I made some cocoa and i swore
I will never go out in winter at any price

I like your poem. It’s about on an eleven year olds level. It’s OK to do that, you know? A favor, please. Don’t get into the habit of using lower case “i”. It really takes something away from an otherwise good poem.
