I can feel them climbing up my throat now,
the tears like spiders creeping along my esophagus.
And all for no reason, but the pain in my back,
the weight on my heart; Oh God, the weight on my heart...
It drags me down, down, down.
Dear Gravity... Dear Sanity, relieve me...
I'm sinking... sinking... sinking
to the bottom of the bucket, and drinking, drinking, drinking
in the blood that erupts from my veins.
I'm nothing, God I'm nothing!
I'm worthless, I'm unholy, I am the line
that separates the peasants from the divine,
and I belong no where.
Something evil is inside of me,
Eating, eating, away.
I am a carcass.

this is so flipping good! i love it. its a perfect description of sadness and pain that i think everyone should read. i think this is one of the best poems i read on AP. just because its so true and every emotion is mixed into it to make it one big heart breaking poem. this is beautiful.
