Behold the baby new year
coming in and born
with so much cheer.
What have we to fear.
It's the start of a whole new year
hopefully one of the best yet
to ever come
and one of the very best ever.
The baby new year
will be bringing baskets filled
with much cheer
and no more tears.
He or she will also be bringing
much happiness and glee
for you and me
as we begin a whole new year of peace.
Let's hope that it is filled with much love
caring, sharing, and Angels singing
from up-above.
That's always a good way to start out too.
There's nothing you can do to change it
cause 2009 will be coming right on in.
We should all be happy though
cause it's the start of something fresh and new.
A welcome start to a brand new year.
I'll be waiting for it to soon be here.
Hopefully you will be too
as we cherish all things bright and new.
