Broken glass surrounds me
Street lights going dead
Watch the city shelter me
Head lights round my head
The sirens screaming in the night
Seasons change instead
Nothing in this city
Is worth the ground it stands
There is no such thing
As innocence any more
As we weep on this ground
Simply insecure
What will save us now
I wonder
Have we reached
Our final days?
Shall we see another sunrise
Another life less taken
Or will we perish
Fire eaten & forgotten
Lights glimmer in the distance
A quiet reminder of what was once
A life without a question
Surrender & shall we survive
Play Again?
