Missing image

She appeared like sunrise

from around the corner
of the softwood door
and smiled like the
first song of morning

she was in bloom;
her dew droplet easing
downwards,
radiant as her cheeks

late spring approaching;
soprano of yellows, pinks
and new life.

Author notes

Option 1: image 10.

And unintentionally Option 2: word 1 (I realised the word "sunrise" was a prompt after writing this...so I thought I better mention it here.)

    Beautiful. I love the feeling of rebirth and creation in this piece, and the metaphor of sunrise is perfect.

    i love this because it reminds so much of a simultaneous metaphor for a radiant pregnant woman & the entrance of a baby girl into the world -- a very beautiful poem!

    This brought to mind a pregnant woman, though that may have been the intent as well. I can't really offer and suggestions on this write because to me, it reads perfectly and drew comparisons that have cemented images in mind.

    A wonderful read.

    s and best wishes always... ~Genie~

    I thought this was super. Very strong writing. If I had to suggest anything it would be to only reveal her identity in the last stanza.
