Twilight Girl

The Twilight Girl who had stars in her eyes
Sat out in the grass staring up at the sky
The Moon shone brightly into her soul
As she wonders how in the world to let go.

She missed someone special in her heart
Her memories she had would never part
So much in grief she stared into the sky
She wondered why do people leave, why?

She smiled at the thought they were watching
She soon realized her foolishness and was crying
Her tears soft like Summer's rain came down heavy
Her own problems, troubles, and thoughts would levy

Knowing all things end the sun started to show
She knew she must soon get ready to go...
She lay in the wet grass dreaming the past
But she soon realized her own present passed.

Her eyes became dull with a slight twinkle in the sun
She got up and did a traditional trademark, she spun
She blew a kiss into the depth of the dark blue sky
"I love you Always and forever"she shouted and sighed.

The Twilight Girl walked home again
To people who loved her in present time
She knew it wouldn't last either, living
She lives in the moment and awaits the day

Where she will then again sit on the hill
For another family member or friend's chill
She knows it's only a matter of time...
She lives in the moment trying to shine!

Before she ,herself, fades away

Into the twilight erasing the day...
