Alice's Dream

Do you remember the Pupil in the book,
Who fell in the hole while taking a look…

The curious girl dressed up in lace,
The one that chased the rabbit like a race…

Then sot advice for her problem and woes,
From the Huka smoking Caterpillar with about thirty toes…

She found herself in the beautiful land of cards,
With Spades, Clubs, Hearts and Diamonds tending the yards…

With the Queen of hearts she played a quick game,
But none of the rules were ever the same…

Then missing the ball and almost hitting the queen instead,
And surrounded by cards of red and black she yelled off with her head….

Well like so many stories it was only what she dreamed,
No matter how real all of it seemed.
