I Need You

Gone, just like every-time
My tears plunge to the ground
Landing in their familiar groove
The phone in my hand, dead

Turning to my pillow
Pick it up and scream
Let out all my anguish
All the times you've let me down

My head pounding

I sigh, knowing I've lost you

Never there when I need you

Always there when I don't

Your timing is impeccable

Your love for me fake

How could I believe all the lies

You hid it so well

Wish you would take it all back

Just be a real person

Be there, right now

Cuz I'm dying without you here

    so deep!

there are like a thousand layers to this poem, ohmigosh, the voice of the main character is so realistic I can totally relate to their problem even thought I've never been in such a situation!
I loved the flow, the realism, and your prose-like style. totally awesome. good luck!
