Alpha Song

I am only the beginning
The ending came before me
It was lonely and cold,
Watching the universe before its birth

But I was amazed by the sudden light,
The intensity of the heat
The blazing stars, forming from the ashes
Of a splitting galaxy

The light moved phantasmagorically
Around me, filling up the empty space
It was brilliant, it was lovely
It was the first step towards my beloved

The Omega of my eternal life
Had come and gone before me
It has grown lonely and cold again,
Watching my creation expand beyond me

Please tell me what you think

I once wrote a short story called "Alpha and Omega", adding installments at an interval of ten years apart. It's now 22 pages and more - perhaps never to be completed. I think it's an obvious sign of internal growth, much like your amazing penning here is. Bravo, my Friend.

    superbly done : lines 1, 2, 7,8 and third stanza ...!!

this is flow perfect, the images roll stop in front of the reader's eye as the poet's voice continues like a pulse and the title as well as elements of the poem ('omega' 'phantaasmagoricall'y' *creation* ) all make for a fine read that sticks and the reader goes back again and can make of it what they will.

    excellence

    Outstanding

I had to read this a couple of times to really appreciate it and I loved the whole concept the world being created in all its beauty (fantastic imagery) and then the poem becomes more personal as if this beauty has disappeared unexpectedly. This is a philosophical poem full of insight into the world.
