Black Heart

Sleep deprived,
images disoriented.

Feeling your presence,
hearing you call me -
over n over again.

The twilight pulls me in,
I fight it with a dread-
however I'm curious...

Wheel of fortune turns,
spinning n spinning -
karma kicks ass,
in time you are,
my enemy-
like a disease you pulled me,
into your misery.

How can I bless the future -
when the past is cursed.

This dirty secret of mine,
can not be revealed...

Who's to blame,

our love was so deep -
your mistress would envy it.

You gave up the fight,
making a deep scar inside.

Society frowns at me,
because in their eyes -
I took your life.

I could never get a word bank write to sound so natural... I admire anyone who can. You did an awesome job Kari. Dark and relatable, in so many ways.

    Great Job!

This is a very deep piece. I really love the style you've used it makes a nice flow and write all together.
    Great Job!

I like this a lot. It's raw and yet refined. It also keeps the clarity of emotion just a hair's-width out of reach, while still slapping you full in the face with the force of it. But as the piece moves forward, the story behind it becomes more and more clear. Such a sad ending to a wonderful piece!

    I love it.
Honest. Sad and pulls at the heartstrings.

It is as though we can't move on if all we have had is bad. Cause how do we know how to find the good?
