An Observation One December Day

Winter, with its ragged silvery locks

solemnly covers all

like unkind years

trees, bemoan like elderly souls

with limbs too brittle

skies are eyes grayed over

no longer showing their brightness

however, bulbs and buds, like infants

sleep in the womb

awaiting spring birth.

    Good imagery.

I like the metaphor of winter and an elderly person, and a babe in the womb. Very good.
