Cast the line

A tug of war
strenth and determination
finding that in yourself
of which you lost long ago

tug hard oh my sea fairing friend
survival of the strongest
a battle of you and me

slipping of the line
into the depths
tugging on the realality
of our war

who will win
will i reel you in
or will you snap the line

fight with all your might
as i will with my own
hook in toe,
your splashing excites.

but to this i say,
as i net you and bring you aboard,
out of your elemate,
you fought hard
But the cast of my line
is what made you mine.

Author notes

Figured I try my hand at some poetry that didn't envole alot of feeling, and yet is purely baised on feeling.
p.s. Sorry about my spelling

you dont have to commet, just somethin i'm feelin right nows.

    This is really good

I like the story you portray. Line 10 should be reality and line 21 element, just to help ya along. Well done.
