There’s a little known fact about our tree,
it never gets watered, so it’s up to me!
At times mom sees, and sometimes not
But when she does: man; she’s boiling hot!
I can’t quite figure out why that is,
just doing my part with a little wiz.
My aims not great so I must admit
I’ve piddled on presents and chewed a bit-
An ornament here, candy cane there
and broke a crystal one once, t’was rare!
Mom had tears, but I licked them away,
did a tail waggle to brighten her day!
And what do ya know, I done something right
cause no kibble for me on Christmas night,
I got sausage, cheese, turkey and dressing-
This Christmas feast was quite a blessing!
So remember to water the tree every year
and when in doubt, lick away a tear,
cause there’s nothing better than excellent food,
then a snuggle with mom in a satisfied mood!
