We cry when we love too much, when we want to love more.
We weep when we can’t remember the smell of one’s hair or the taste of their lips upon ours.
We weep when all we can remember is the pain they inflicted.
The tendency to form an argument and stick up for ourselves, and then apologise because we feel wrong.
We give to much and get to much, and feel guilt in return.
Vomit at the thought of being worth something to another person, and do everything to sabotage their motives just to see if they are real.
Subconsciously fall in love with those we know we can never have, or have long enough to be committed.
We tremble when we are overwhelmed and back away when things might for once go our way.
We feel self pity, instead of change.
We express ourselves in ways of demeaning nature, as we swallow and spit out every compliment and form of attention.
We are our own demise; we are the emotions that override.
Be a rebel, make change.
Author notes
This just came to me as I was getting ready to go out. How hard we make it to appreciate the good in life because after you have been hurt a couple times everything feels like a trick, like somebody is out to get you. I find myself in most of these situations. Getting mad at somebody making them feel sad and then apologising even though they were the one who should be. Fallen in love with guys who I knew would be moving in a couple months or who had girlfriends. We self sabotage.
