New Year Resolutions...........

 

 

Every year when the new year comes
to give up many things, I resolve
but this year it's going to be different
an never more shall my will dissolve.

 

 

 

The following, is what I have decided
these resolutions that I have made
these promises for certain will be kept
I'm adamant and will not be swayed

 

 

 

I firstly resolve not to smoke or drink
or eat cakes any more, I guess
chocolate or candy I'll have no more
which will be very hard, I confess.

 

 

 

 I will not spend  any more money,
on things that I can do without
and I know that I can keep to this
with no difficulty or even doubt

 

 

 

Along with these announcements, 
though to keep them will create me stress
I swear  I won't do them any MORE,
but more important,

 

............. 

 

I'll not do them any LESS.

    Bravo Ann...as i read I thought "oh shit! Ann is in for one rough year" . but the ending made me laugh out loud- you sucked me in and I truly believed you had lost all your senses but I am glad to see you were just having me on! enjoyed this very much ann..and oh! by the way is it ok to send of the care package of a carton of smokes-a gallon of G&T and 10 kilograms of Canadian sweets now? loved this ann and Happy new year to you my friend...peace Terry

    All those tough decisions,
    to do and what not to do,
    list upon list of selections,
    as you try to make a new you.

    but what of the old ways,
    with the fun and the smiles,
    will you miss them in new days,
    with your new living styles.

    or will you like the others,
    revert to the past,
    brush them under the covers,
    knowing they'd never last.

    so I wish you all the best,
    in your New coming year,
    and just shout like the rest,
    when your needing a beer.

    keep in better contact with friends
    go the to the gym more
    let go of old hurt

    ...
    the list goes on... but mostly I resolve to be happy. I deserve that.. and I say.. if cake makes YOU happy, eat it!!! We only live once!

    Lol you really shoud enter this in my contest on new years resolutions Ann its great. Like many new years resolutions people fail and try again next year creating a vicious cycle. Thanks for the laugh.

    Good One Ann - I like your style!

    New Year Resolutions are a waste of time for me
    Because I don't take any notice, I just don't care you see.
    Chocolate and cold white wines are on my favourites list
    And if I didn’t get them, then I really would be  p****d.
    Exercise and bike riding are all so very well
    But if I don't  get round to it, I know I'll go to hell
    But each year I announce a change, my resolve never ends
    But if I happen to wonder down I'll meet up with my friends!
