deathly beautiful with naked simplicity,
the trees shiver in stillness.
layers and layers of styled emotions keep me warm,
the wind fights against me.
reasons, failures and guilt fall lightly from the clouds,
landing on my shoulder, melting on the ground.
I'll catch my dignity if it dances my way,
I'll avoid the frozen over memories,
I won't slip on the past,
I'll slowly move towards a plowed future.
My hands shiver in stillness,
layers and layers of regret cover me in torn satisfaction.
There's no more heat to conserve for my body,
I guess I'll freeze over and wait for your forgiveness.
The meadow in the distance,
The rainbow of apologies,
The beaming sunlight of your acceptance,
the heat of your embrace.
I can wait for the summer.
I can wait.

Interesting piece. I loved the two lines the most. They put closure to the poem, and it was a pleasant place to put it. Excellent write. Good job and good luck in my contest.

emotion and winter
yes you talk about emotion related to winter so well expressed
reasons fall lightly to the ground

beautiful wording here, thanks for entering!

It has a nice flow to it. To me, the person sounds strong, saying "I can do this, I won't do this." Patience and being strong is a very amiable trait.
Thanks for your entry! -

Another poem about patience, I especially liked your ast lines about "The beaming sunlight of your acceptance,
