Oh God
you are an author
you portray me, you transcribe him,
you compose her
you correspond to all-embracing description around
along the scriptural light of your ink
practicing to formulate the holy book
this way, If I am discerned as sinful
it explains the manual was not appropriately
absorbed by me
please do forgive me
do forgive me
Oh God...

the manual was not appropriately absorbed my me....that is amazing...i love how your faith is so described...this hearkens to the psalms...i love your work

You have a wonderful way with metaphoric images, and connecting them to your faith. Although I do not share your faith, I can respect the poetic craft and talent you possess.

The background
and the title are striking, but the contents of this poem, even more so. Not only is the contents true, but a journey that we more often should undertake. Frans

A great prayer, good luck in contest and happy new year!

Oh, Prab, this absolutely must take the gold! You so delicately bring out a truth that has long been denied in so many ways: "Well, no one gave us a manual on parenting... or marriage. . ." Yes, God did give us a manual covering every aspect and possible event in life: the majority simply never read the manual. I suppose they didn't hear that cliche "When in doubt, read the manual."
You are so incredibly talented, dear friend, and this poem is just another revealing the great talent our Father has given you of His. You use it so well and to His glory: no better way!
Love and hugs, BonnieQ

This poem is very thoughtful, which describes the flawed creation to its creator, and does not tell where the flaw crept in. You have given us much substance for consideration, best of luck!
