Setting suns and broken parts
Fading lights and aching hearts
We’ll cry, and that’s when tears arise
As the skies bestow us with more
Even when we don’t know what they’re for
They fall, and heal our blinded eyes
Shattered hopes and slivered dreams
Are all we’re good for, or what it seems
That’s when our tears quake and dance above
Though the heavens rain and touch our lives
And wash away all the fucking lies
We’ll create those wet stars of love
They give birth to a whole new world of
Colors one can only taste thereof
And we’ll feel so demised
When that face brings pain to our eyes
And the name within our heart dies
That’s when they rise
That’s when our tears arise
Author notes
This is so gay of me, but this is in retaliation of Loony's poem "Tears and Hearts".

Ah, Prewett, always the defiant one! Lol. When it all boils down, it does speak basically the same message as my poem. Mine was that tears empty all the crap from your heart, and then once there's no more to cry out, you're heart is light and it ascends. Yours is also hopeful.
Either way, tears are beautiful. ♥
Good work.

I suppose 'retaliation' was too strong a word...
...but my intent was to write a poem on the same topic as yours. Of course it doesn't compare with your by-far-more-poetic piece, I had fun with it and had broken my silence on this site. Stay cool Loony!
