A caped crusader in black
He began as batman
And now has come back
He was so very serious and sad
But he now forever wheres his smile
His exterior shows a happy face
But his actions are so hostile
The batman and joker
Enemies to the core
Once they have gotten their revenge
They are left wanting more
But who will be victorious
When all is said and done
Will good triumph the evil
Or will we be left to wonder who won?
The man masked in darkness
Must reveal himself to all
Or the peace in Gotham City
Will, to the Joker, fall
The man who hides under the dark
The man with pain plainly seen
Is there only good and evil?
Or is there something in between?
Author notes
This is a tribute to the Dark Knight. I LOVED this movie and I just tried to create some imagery with it! Hope you enjoy it all you fans of the Dark Knight, and for those who haven't seen it, I hope you enjoy it, too and you should watch it! It is very good! Also going along with any comments on my poem please also give your thoughts on the Dark Knight...Was the batman too "wimpy"? (I have heard that complaint) What did you think of the joker?!
also...may heath ledger rest in peace *moment of silence*
Ok!! :-) enjoy!

Wow! This is great! I loved that film and your poem gets right to the heart of it. I especially love the lines;
'The man who hides under the dark
The man with pain plainly seen
Is there only good and evil?
Or is there something in between?'
It makes me think about the fact that life isn't just black and white, there is the colours of all the myriad of emotions in between these extremes. Batman was not in any way 'wimpy' but he was superbly contemplative. Super write! Great film! Thank you for sharing!

WOW!!!! I just watched this movie last night, so reading this was great!

You did a wonderful job on this piece. I love the rhyme and the flow, and the feel of the piece.
That end stanza was amazing!!! I love how it left the reader with something to think about! Great job!
I thought Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker. He got it just right, in my opinion.
