The occasional crack
that lets in the occasional ray
should be cemented over
as soon as it appears.
It just agitates the prisoner.
Author notes
Just a little post-holiday doom & gloom.

Sometimes we just need the darkness. I get it.
Don't stay there too long or I'll have to come pull up the shades.

rocky, watch out, for the entire cast of the
Caption Thread is arriving to break you out,
bringing all sorts of happy snacks. Jake says
he'll bring chicken.
The words present quite the visual!
Hoping you let the sun shine in...soon!
Sending love and hugs...and Jake snuggles.

Uh oh. Is TTG bringing the stuff HE likes? Tin cans, old shoes, rotting orange peels, etc.?!?! Thanks for the comment.

Doom and gloom indeed. Who told you that you could play Yemassee?
I should chastise you for your cynicism but I can't since I rather like it. Ok, all the time gets boring, but every now and then when things bug us, why not just fill up the crack, or in my case, toss them down a well?
Having sad that, I am sorry for the doom, I hope a more positive moment comes soon, fortunately for me the doom is never too deep, there are too many cracks to be filled...luckily.

An anagram of my name is "URGENTLY MERRY BRAIN," which really hits the mark, since I tend to spin out my funniest stuff when I'm trying to keep my mind off whatever misery I've created for myself. So since this poem is straightforwardly grim...I must be feeling better(?)
I'm trying to give you stars, but I may have squandered them all on candy bars and bubblegum.

Nope, that is an even cuter star!

An anagram of my name is...any marvin tin nerd...I need a better name.

Well I suppose it goes two ways...happy write happy, sad, write happy. I'm just the opposite, when happy I'm pretty silly, when sad, it's hard to get a pleasant word out of me.
Glad you are feeling ok...I hope you write lots of sad, depressing poems.
stars? not sure myself how to make them, probably
