I Live This Life

I live this life.
I have my secrets.
I keep them buried.
I don't love you.

Every night I pray,
God! Help me! Heal me.
I am nervous and ill.
I don't love you.

I sit in the coffeeshop
listening to the guiter playing.
Couples gazing into each others eyes.
Will I find you?
I don't love you.

I drop my head and weep.
I curse God. Any God.
Will you come for me?
Will I always love you?

I have always thought of my ex- asshole when I hear this song.

I like the way the poem is trying to ignore the fact that they're still 'in love'.
It's weird, because no matter how many times we deny we're 'in love', life seems to throw it back in our faces. As if adding insult to injury.
Very well written, it all flows well!

    Keep writing!
