Sleeptight...

Half past 10pm
Doors locked,

Hearts set,
Caged inside your embrace
Falling back into your arms

Strangers chasing away
Distant stars.

To watch you sleep...
Is something I want nothing more.
In that instant I know it's with you where I want to be

The seatbelt straps pull me in
Bringing me every inch closer to you.

[Did you ever stop me to hold me back?]

You only seem to want
What I've wanted all along... [?]

Remembering the moment
I allowed myself to fall and let go: to love and give it my all
Wish my mind would stop thinking now

Cause I can hear nothing
But the sound of your breathing.. and your taking me away again.

And to watch you sleep so gently,
Pushes me high up into unexplored horizons
Then I fall so hard over and over

I've watched your serenity a dozen times
And I've already had your reflection
Imprinted in my mind... the image so clear

Recall the flash of gravity shared
During the moment
When I first touched your lips

The eyes that stared at me
That seems to cut me inside

There's so much more in you I know
Wish they would see what I see in you...

With fingers crossed I hope you can help me
To make this last... even a little more longer...

Author notes

I'm still not done yet... I've got a lot of revising to do I know

I don't want to sleep without you... wish you were here.

To tell you the truth I dont think you need that much revising. You wrapped this poem up nicely.
    Nice work, I enjoyed it.
