It's Just A Game

A figure
surrounded ebonist pools
A dice
starting desultory games
A biscuit
depicting fate - but not unknown
A whitewash
on polished surfaces crashes...

"My mind is like a domino, attracted by what's below
-as instructed-

Frozen - snowflakes on winter grounds
only to be pulled back together
-to start anew-"

Author notes

Prompt: Ice
40-50 words

I just wanted to write something, anything. I won't be doing that for maybe another week or so and I haven't written a word in about a week already. It's so depressing. Anyway, hope this is a start...it's how I feel.

Cool poem. This one is very interesting. I like the way it creates pictures of the games and the objects in them and brings them to life.

I've been there, as recently as last week. Nicely written though. To write something urges the brain forward, to engage in something! BTW, this is better than oh, I just slapped something down! Geo

An inspiration kick-start, for sure. This is a quite different style than what I'm used to seeing from you. It's nice to branch out, though. Best of luck in the contest.
