Brief Moment Away

somehow in minor occurrence,
not everyday
events unfold.
in fabric of the web
old dreams die-
new ones are birthed
and the wheel spins.

slept upon razor's edge
of the sword,
flick of the wrist
reveals a newer reflection.

ornately simple-
cast in strength
vision can lie
or be truthful
for the viewer.

most will sleep
inside the bubble
ever shattering apart
from within-

and never realize why.

Author notes

AN: Hetha

The internal struggle of how we enslave our own minds. The deeper truths lie in discovering the 'why' we do this. The mind is not the only part of the 'self'.

    Hmm.

    Hmm.

Interesting take on the why, and I think I quite like it. You found a great way of expressing it. I like how abstract this piece is, definitely.

A very nice write; thank you for entering!

Effortlessly beautiful writing. I see you have been back awhile and I am at fault for not checking, but I have been off and on myself. Good luck in the contest.

    Only 1 suggestion -

    "slept upon the razor edge"

    or

    "slept upon razor's edge"

I feel that "edge" needs to be on the same line in order to keep the flow as smooth as possible

I hope you've had a quiet, relaxing and very warm Christmas. I love you sis.
