Blood Guzzle

"A loophole in Federal regulations governing the fuel efficiency of new vehicles allows carmakers to produce SUV's that can waste as much gasoline as they want."

- The Book of the Watcher, Chapter 8, Verse 4

No concern, save the burn,
Recall no hard lesson to learn
Duty and honor, another name
For homicide, ritual manslaughter,
Dissolve yourself from blame
Sacrifice your son, your daughter,
Languish in puppet fame
While thirsty engines churn
Be stern, don't give peace a turn
Shove love away
Kick sand in its face
Become the master race
Reich dreams today.

No tears, ignorant fears
Will save your job another four years

Pumping the life of disposable youth
Collude with the media, distort the truth.

Author notes

So I played with the rhythm a lot in this piece, and the rhyme scheme was all over the place.  I had a lot of fun penning this piece, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks!
