She remembered his gentle touch,
And how it felt so right,
They were the perfect couple,
Before his fateful night.
Walking home from work,
He did not stop to check,
He thought the road was clear,
The car then broke his neck.
Four hours in the E.R,
She told herself all the lies,
But the doctor bowed his head,
She could see it in his eyes.
Life became surreal,
Darkness consumed her fast,
What was real? What was fake?
She could not escape her past.
Three years she waited,
The grave always looked the same.
She dropped off flowers, visited.
But still he never came.
She wished for his ghost,
His soul he could never show,
In her shattered reality,
Hoping to see her beau.
After all the dragging days,
After all the sleepless nights,
She took matters into her own hands,
And finally took her life.
The bullet passed through quickly,
She hardly made a sound.
But her smile said she saw him,
Before she hit the ground.

Welcome to allpoetry!
This is a very unusual tale of love here, one that strikes the topic of grieving and loss, the poem is very well expressed and I like the rhyme scheme you have
