Innocently placed,
as a doll on a shelf;
She has no control,
doing as told.
Give her a box of crayons,
Blank paper;
Drawing will keep her busy,
hold her quiet.
Dragons, castles, princes;
limitations unknown;
Lines aren’t the boundaries
that can contain her dreams.
Can’t you see the colors:
Outer space, sunset orange, cotton candy,
Shadow, purple heart;
Painted everywhere she glances.
Careful though: the rainbow can vanish,
black and white prevails
where corruption is evident.
Creation dissolves,
color by numbers is habit.

I love crayons and drawing. I try to draw any spare time I have. I wanted to go in a different direction but I just wrote what came out. I seem to be having a black and white theme.
