spending time embracing juliet

love

Collapse our love onto bedsheets

and say "I love you" like you've never meant it before.

Capturing always in a glass jar,

a time capsule of who we are.

I have always wanted to hold on to

our moments and celebrate our victories.

And tonight, I am becoming one with the

young lady of my reality.

[she's everything to my needy heart]

Take me under your skies

and show me how, with wings,

we fly together and get lost in this moment.

Under our umbrella of emotions and sweet satisfaction,

there is so much more to feel.

It's you and me

and all this love.

I become captivated by your vision,

the baby blues and the intensity

of how you hold me.

Love's glow becomes our downpour

and we drown in its rain.

Astounding piece! The emotion comes through very clearly, and the descriptions were beautifully done. This is one of those pieces a lot of readers can relate to, which is a wonderful touch. And the flow is smooth and strong.

I like the picture. And I truly do like the poem. It flows wonderfully and says a whole lot in it. I love it that you drown in love. Great creative write. Thanks for sharing this with us and thanks for entering it into this friends reading list.

This is beautiful, lovely, refreshing ... there are barely words that describe it; it's genuine, raw emotion so beautifully tapped, one cannot help but wish that they were the Juliet that had some how snagged such a Romeo. There is too much beauty to be noted; thank you so much for sharing this with all of us; what a wonderful thing thing to read when feeling lonely Christmas Day.

I hope you win. Even if there is some poem that magically and vindictively makes its' way into your contest that is technically better (who knows?), I doubt it can evoke the emotion as this piece does. I cannot thank you enough for this, and the beauty of it is I don't quite know why.

This poem is very well written. I felt a little cliche with some of your metaphores. But overall not much to critisize. Nice effort.
    Good luck.
The last line is really good, it saves/makes the poem in my mind.

    Beautiful and Profound

I love it! It is so intensely full to overflowing with love. It has such a sweet emotional feel to it. I love the last two lines the most. It touched my heart for I have a soft spot for the rain. Fantastic write friend. Regards, Gypsy
