As life melted in my mouth

As life melted in my mouth
I tasted the flavors of experience.
An innocent, red apple childhood
A bold, yellow-orange mango youth
A soft, carmine plum love
A gentle, yellow banana kiss
A bitter, green cucumber betrayal
A caustic, lemon estrangement
A sour, black-purple grape pain
An uneven, yellow-green pineapple success
An unforgettable, yellow-red peach embarrassment
A spirited, white sugar freedom
An icy, black-green water melon peace
Taste of something that is awaited
The last, tranquil blueberry death.

This poem shows a lot of thought. You have matched the flavors/colors and the experiences well.

I really like this poem. The banana kiss made me smile. If I were to edit it, I would use some other things besides produce to describe the colors of your experience. You give them a taste, too, which is good...white sugar freedom was a nice change. A very good poem--nice and brief.
