Do you remember the days,
When you were just a child,
When rainbows and puppies,
Were the reasons you smiled?
When laughter always happened
Over the slightest little things
A chocolate bar or 10 cents found
Is what would make you grin.
Then came along your first real crush
The boy you claimed to ‘love’
He took your heart and soul away
And helped you rise above!
The innocence there was special
And yet so far lost away
Though never have I let it go
In my heart will always stay
Its memories like these
That makes you wonder why
But shows happiness cannot be bought
Yet keeps us flying high…

Wouldn't it be nice to go back to those good old days, when we were just carefree kids and the simple things made us happy.

I too look back to the days when I was a child and the 'simple' things did make us happy. At the time tho, I guess we didn't truly appreciate them. Wouldn't it be great if life were that simple now
