Still, do I remember you
Through all this time that’s passed,
Your flowing hair of raven hue
Still haunts me from the past,
Your eyes a breathless shade of blue,
I’ll drown in them at last,
And always I will dream of you,
I am ever in your grasp.
Your velvet ivory cheek and brow
Still hold me in their sway,
You linger on – I know not how –
To haunt me night and day;
The past stays with me, here and now,
These thoughts of you replay,
That under memories’ weight I bow
And though you’re gone – you stay.
Your lips that whispered soft my name
Ten thousand years ago, it seems,
Whisper to me just the same,
Though it’s only in my dreams,
And fan this loves’ eternal flame
That in remembered eyes still gleams,
You forever in my heart remain –
It is your blood that through me streams.
You still remain, although you’re gone,
To live down in my deepest core –
Then in my dreams you sing our song
Like walking through an open door
Into my heart – where you belong –
Then you gently bid my heart to soar.
My love for you – this love so strong –
I could never love you more.

'Your lips that whispered soft my name

Whisper to me just the same,
Though it’s only in my dreams,'
This is so wonderfully expressed. Bravo!

Beauty, you know how I think of this that flows from you so naturally. It is the outline of a closest soul. The next eight days will make the weight of all the guilt I said a feather. I let time slip, and lost the night, the only night that mattered. A name of ours is truly writ in water, and more a timelessness than that. I dream I could write like you. Please, make no distance or doubt from my dumb, untimely sience. I am so sorry.
