Angry Santa

Missing image
It was the night before Christmas and all through the house
The two cats were still chasing, the terrorist mouse
The stockings were hung to the chimney with care
But the mouse had lit a fire, with flames high in the air
Then down came Santa and hit the fire
Up he went, soaring higher and higher
He was heard to say, as he flew out of sight,
An Un-Merry Christmas to you
And I’ll see you another night!

Not very festive, but witty and fun, this is unlike any of the entries I have read so far,and is so unusual, its almost fantastic. 9.9 out of 10,thats how almost fantastic this is.

very cute- i have a few listed i wrote from a childs eye and as i am a childsih person, i beleive i caught the feelings well! fun how we go back and see what we wrote at young ages- i started writing in 5 grade though mine were, well, adult style--i did not have much of a childish childhood. all the fun for me came as an adult but then so did the moodishness and depression that is so evident in much of my writings. i am learning to be free.

This is really good. Don't know how old it is but it certainly brought a smile to my face. Thanks for the wonderful read.

For an eight year old...It was and still is brilliant. It is wonderful that you still have this old poem and I suspect many more from the past.
