A little bit

How is it that when I hold
this tiny
lovely creature
my heart just feels
ready to burst.

This little creature
so demanding
in its wants
and needs

And yet,
when I look at her
I feel wonder,
that she
is a little bit you
and a little bit me
mixed together.

And the joy
she fills me with
is like no other joy.

I guess that's love.

Beautiful. Birth is very beautiful. I wish that I knew what this sort of love felt like. The most raw form of love. Completely unconditional. :] Great job.

Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest :]

    Ohhhhhh that's so beautiful -

I've always wondered what it must be like to feel like that about a baby ... particualrly as I don't think I ever will feel that ...

    So beautiful, gentle loving ....

    Thanks for sharing!

It is hard to express well enough the love we have for our children. this is a great stab at it. I enjoyed it very much, the honorable mention is well deserved thanks. Nic

I was worried at first when I first started writing it. I just couldn't think of anything. Then pop this just comes out. Glad that you liked it.
