Oh, how delicious you are,
the soft minty flavors,
roll in my mouth,
what are you made of?
The swirls of you,
make me dizzy,
as I look at you,
isn't it beautiful?
I hang you up on a tree,
it adds a dazzling effect,
I wonder how long,
will it take you to come off?
Oh candy cane,
you brighten my day,
you show me that,
I do in fact like candy canes,
I unwrap your plastic,
giving you thanks,
answering my question,
What makes my Christmas take flight?

Ahh, I love the last line. You have a very elaborate sense of imagery and feel, it shows a great deal in your writing. I also love the exploration of questions in this writing, as its effluent design within christmas is woven into the fabric of your flight. Nice job.

Your poem is great. And it IS in the form of a question. But I feel that I must point out that the question that your poem is asking doesnt really respond to the prompt. You have to imagine that someone is saying that prompt to you (Just like in jeopardy) and then you are responding to them...this poem seems as though you are talking to the candy cane itself.
