You know who I am.
You know what I’ve done.
And you know why this happened to me.
Sacrificial lamb,
it's too late to run.
Accept their final prophecy.
You thought you could escape it.

We fled from ourselves.
...it was pointless we tried.
We can change what we look like,
but we can’t change what’s inside.
You know it will find us,
this fatal attraction.
And what happiness we had
was a futile distraction.
We can’t run or hide
It was pointless we tried
Now I’m trapped inside
And you’re in for the ride
Together we’re tied
Like a husband and bride
With you by my side
My brain won’t divide
You know that I cried
When I had to decide
Can’t change what’s inside
You’re Jekyll; I’m Hyde
Abandon all pride
And wait for the tide
You stayed by my side...
And so we both died.
I know who I am.
I know what I’ve done.

I was the lamb,
but you refused to run.

Who cares if it's hard to understand? (I was REALLY curious about your poetry so I went ahead and read this; that's okay, right?) Did this really come out of nowhere? Damn, if it did you're really quick (and good, for that matter) at making rhyming poems that WORK- and I don't know that many can do that anymore. The beginning and ending stanzas-probably my favorite parts. The first two lines were really what made me want to read this anyway, so yeah. ^.^ Me gusta.

What i got probably wasn't intended
I like it alot. I'm not sure if its that your that much in love or the companion was stupid, but there's a certain awe in it all. He risked his life to be with the "sacrificial lamb." Sweet.
