The pain of war cannot exceed the woe of aftermath…
“Battle of Evermore” – Led Zeppelin
Staggering gammon ray –
soul stage of a wing-stem promenade –
dance of a different step leading
some sort of concomitant
bound free loquacity;
the gorge of transcendence;
the struggle of trust;
a crusted thrust of systemic leisure
compelled to be woven into
believer communities;
including those who believe some other way
in non-negotiable terms.
We are slipping on the intentions
of our own free will –
transformed in collected surrender
of loving bled dry of all liquidity,
when life is for the living and
the levy of death has broken before
it comes to take more of us away.
Back into the staggering gammon ray –
the link where my toes are stubbed
and ready for spiritual pedicuring.
Author notes
To the wise and the unwise,
leave foolishness to the evil days.
Do not disintegrate in your attempts
to understand the Lord’s will,
for it is not our own.
Ephesians 5:15-16 (EZB interpretation)

The path to enlightenment/heaven/nirnana/... [fill in the blank] is littered with bodies... casualties of war mount, rooted in belief systems with "non-negotiable" terms. Ultimately there will be NO power in numbers persuaded by oppressive forces because the path to understanding is uniquely an individual thing. No matter the spoils, the loyalties won, body counts risen at the hand of more sizeable armies are battles are won at the expense of the Kingdom... As Mathew said in the "Beatitudes" The meek shall inherit the world...

Ah Earth... World... I suppose it one of those quirks of ethnic origin, huh?? When I lived in Europe, they considered the USA "The World" It is nice to see that they have broken out of their post war sheltered existences. LOL!!! -
Amen - 'twas Jesus (Rodriguez) who said, "The meek shall inherit the earth" though. sorry for the correction. According to Monty Python in the Life of Brian, Jesus also said, "Blessed are the cheesemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God." Of course, that's what those in the back row heard at the sermon on the mount. (now there's a whole other topic to tackle...)

you have beautiful work, sir. Your raising up the scriptures here in that way is indeed powerful ... and indeed, Ephesians, is perhaps where the most fecund, and powerful work within one of the most works ever written is ...
I have seen the dead things of war and living things walking as dead that it freed, as they wept for their dead and remembered both themselves and their dead when both were alive and full of perhaps, great peace and power but who then, can say ....
