Objective

Objective

On most of the clear and warm summer night
you stood in silence under veil of stars,
watching without eyes
as the moonlight danced on the water

You were kicked and stepped on
burned by fire
Insects crawled all over you,
you never moved a muscle
or felt any pain

At the start of dusk
you were alone by the edge of the sandy shore
It started to get colder
as the nights got shorter
Still, you had no expression

Solid and heavy
nothing could move you,
not even the rising tide
would evoke reaction

You warped and rotted
always alone, by yourself
with all your indifference
completely hollow

Wow. Wow. What an incredible take on the prompt. I absolutely loved where you went with it. I was surprised with where it led you. It was deep and emotional, even in its depiction on unemotional.
Thanks for entering and best of luck.
