These four walls
drive me insane.
Watching all the snow
piling up on the pane.

Television running
up my electircal bill.
A telemarketer called today,
his name was Phil.

I need an escape
so I pick up a book.
Jump into another world,
come and look.

Kings and queens
in far off  lands.
Imagination holds the key
in the palm of your hand.

Wonderful flowing rhythm and rhymes which is my favorite form of writing and you do it very well. I can relate to the subject matter and enjoy reading your lovely work. Go Bless, Jo-Ann

    LOL...

I can really identify! I'm pretty much housebound because of my being differently able & when things get really crazy I pick up The Good Book. I study it all the time, but it's my preferred reading when I just want to run away from it all! Great content, timing & rhyming! I love it when I read a write like this. It makes me feel so "normal"!
    Good job...

I'm not big on Ryhme, but this one had a steady flow and I like the last stanza.. It captures the freedom of isolation..
