Frosted Youth

Sing to me a song
of days frosted with youth.
Prepare me for the journey
into my inner most secrets.

As I close my eyes,
sparkles turn to colors and
colors form into shapes.

Am I going through life
on auto-pilot? Is this as
it should be or is there more?

I take the train to nowhere
only to find the place I
left behind  in technicolor.

The sand man
delievers his nightly gift of
escape.

His only request that
I can fulfill is to taste the dream
and the ambition that comes along with
it.

Author notes

This was honestly the first thing that came to mind when I saw the pic prompt. Speaking of which, I do not know how to add that pic in my poem, however here is the link and the credit goes to Pumpykin for creating it.
