Below

Thunderous roar form the depths below,
waves lick the stones (and they give in)
to the Abyss, a whisper heard by anything
- the Apocalyptic frenzy of a gentle breeze.

He sat there ... alone, upon the cliff,
the barren wasteland of old &
saw how water fell beyond a dream
down the utter dark below.

"Accompany me now, sweet maiden dress,
& let us dive in where our hearts are one,
for the star you once held is lost
beyond the mirror glance,
these evil sands...

I am the hand that writes forever an end
to each beginning, but not to a torment;
for I am weak - I must sleep
& dream of her hands...

(Please hold me dear)"

A shade painted a waterscape on the stones,
of how a child & cloth fell over
the edge - where the infernal lighthouse
burned their path...

In a magenta sun I released my breath
and went where her eyes departed
far from the softness of hope,
deeper -- deeper than the blackness

of the utmost depth below.

Author notes

Applies to 1, 3rd picture; entire stuff of 2 and especially to 6, not counting other criteria whom may apply to this. I need to focus more one subject.

Originally not for this contest though, I wrote this with the image of the edge of the world where the water falls unto oblivion in my head. But what the hell, I thought it would make a decent contribution. If you wish , I'll try to look the picture up .

Wow. That was absolutely stunning. I loved the imagery and the sorrow and the emotion. You did a fantastic job and it DID go with the prompt, even if you did not originally write for it.
Thank you for entering and best of luck.
    Write on.
