soothing your crushed emotions:
in its tender rhythms -
like the St.Ives peach scrub
peeling your masks
of depression, frustration or anxiety
dumping into ocean's
sunset crescendos
*
I float
in textured beads of water
swimming in time's lullaby
listening to moonlight's orchestra
as she rocks water's children to their daily sleep
and I wait
for your refreshed return
Author notes
* I borrowed the title "Lush Life" from a Japanese crime fiction author, there's no relation, it's just that I,too, like the title.
* I have witnessed and been in life's many ups and downs this year, and after watching the Taiwanese movie Cape No. 7 (this is a must-watch), writing poems that pump a daily dose of tranquility/love don't seem so bad after all. Like most of my stories, each poem will be grouped into a theme but can be read individually. I am going to focus on tranquility and love in this vol.

I'm not so sure about the allusion to St Ives - though you make the internal monologue very authentic. I particularly like your conclusion in the second stanza - the eternal and repetitive nature of the sea, it 'cleanses' but leaves a salty after taste.
