I sit up
head throbbing
heart pounding
i can feel you
next to me
but there is nothing there
just the cold
the dark
my memories fading
falling
leaving
escaping
through my fingers
as i reach for them
i want to remember
i want you here again
filling the empty spaces
in my soul
i made a mistake
i want you here
so i can make it right
i want to start again
go back to the fork in the road
i know the path i should have taken
now all i need
