Release

Beneath the oak tree and the moon
a lady is being released
all the pain will escape her heart soon
and all others will be so pleased

Dirty damsel from the deep south
lays with her arms folded tight
sorrow hints the edges of her mouth
as she throws in the towel tonight

A single tear for the one she loves
hangs softly upon her cheek
a voice calls out its not enough
And her heartbeat has gone weak.
